Haiti Relief Events

Don't forget! Our Haitian Peace Quilt Raffle closes in June!

On display at the Meetinghouse is one of the extraordinary Haitian PeaceQuilts. You may have seen some of the PeaceQuilts on display at the UU Meetinghouse or at the Bennington Museum while they were touring the area last year. This quilt was purchased by the UUFB and will be raffled off with proceeds going towards relief efforts in Haiti as well as local community service projects. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at The Bennington Bookshop, South Street Cafe, Spice-N-Nice, or from a UU member. For more information, phone the UU Meetinghouse at (802)440-9816.
The raffle drawing will take place on June 15th, 2010. Don't miss the chance to win this outstanding work, and support the ongoing work to restore the lives of the Haitian people affected by this disaster.
PeaceQuilts is an organization that was originally established to teach women (as well as men) a marketable skill that could provide income for the quilters to help support their families. It has since become a recognized non-profit, all-volunteer humanitarian organization that assists in the development of quilting cooperatives in Haiti which also, in the end, helps relieve poverty.

We thank you again for your support of our Haiti relief efforts.
