Meet Our Minister, Rev. Erica Baron

Erica BaronRev. Erica Baron is a life-long Unitarian Universalist and a native Vermonter. She grew up in Essex, Vermont, and attended the First Unitarian Universalist Society of Burlington and the Mount Mansfield Unitarian Universalist Fellowship in Jericho. She left Vermont in 1999 to go to college at the University of Massachusetts where she studied Social
Thought and Political Economy. After college, she spent a year in Ireland before beginning seminary at Andover Newton Theological School. She graduated from Andover Newton in 2008.

Erica served as the Ministerial Intern at First Parish Church Unitarian Universalist of Northborough, Massachusetts from 2006 to 2008. She was ordained by that congregation in 2008. She began her ministry in Bennington in September 2008.

Erica is passionate about Unitarian Universalist theology, fascinated by Unitarian Universalist history, and committed to the Unitarian Universalist Principles and to working for social justice. She is also an artist, with quilting being her current medium of choice. She and her partner Rachel are new residents of Rutland, Vermont, where Erica is also the minister of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Rutland.
