Meetinghouse Café Concert Series
The next concert will be on May 16th with a performance by Cindy Kallet and Grey Laarsen. Doors will open at 7:00 p.m. and tickets are $14. Fellowship members can be helpful in several ways: 1) by attending; 2) by volunteering before or during the event; and 3) by selling tickets to friends. Please see Sue or Chuck if you’re willing to help put up posters, or sell tickets in advance.
On June 20th, the Café concert series will feature Dafé Brudäjo.
The Meetinghouse Café concerts are primarily a fund-raising vehicle for the Fellowship and the Food and Fuel Fund. However Fellowship members who would like to attend but don’t feel they can afford the full cost of a ticket, should speak to Bruce Lierman, Sue Andrews or Chuck Putney about a discount.
Social Action Commitee
The Fellowship will have a booth at MayFest on May 24th. Anyone interested in helping out (ideas, setup, manning the booth), please see/contact Julie Menard (413-664-9726 or jjmenard@williams.edu).
The next monthly collection will be for the Turning Point Club (a Vermont recovery center) on May 4th. Please see our Social Action table for brochures. Thanks to everyone who contributed to our PAVE collection! Our donations totaled $179.
We'll be hosting another Sunday Supper in June. Since the local soup kitchen does not provide meals seven days a week, there's a gap to fill on the weekends. Ellen Barnard coordinates local groups hosting Sunday dinners at the 2nd Congo Church to make sure people get a hot meal. Please watch for details in the OOS.
We are continuing to collect items for BROC. There is a particular need for toiletry items since these cannot be purchased with food stamps. A list of food and toiletry items needed can be found on the Social Action table.
Blessing Baskets—Thanks to those who have chosen items to donate to our blessing baskets for the homeless shelter. We’d like to have all items by May 11th.
Board of Trustees Meeting
The next meetings of the Fellowship’s Board of Trustees will be held at the Meetinghouse on May 14 and June 11 at 7:00 p.m. Please contact Bruce Lierman (liermans@comcast.net or 447-2553) if you have items for the agenda.
Fellowship Spring Auction
Let the Bidding Begin! The "guys only" gourmet dinner is back, as is reiki, massage, plants, and many new items! Bidding for services and items donated to the UUFB annual spring auction will begin on Sunday, May 4th and end on Sunday, May 11.
